Marlize supports ONE's policy work on health and development finance. She previously led global health initiatives at ONE Germany, contributing to parliamentary advocacy and economic analysis on the Global Fund, Gavi, and the Global Polio Eradication Initiative. Earlier, she served as Scientific Medical Advisor at Theradaptive in the US focusing translational research on craniofacial bone regeneration. A specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery, she trained at Tygerberg Hospital and Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town, and practiced clinically across South Africa. She holds an MChD from the University of the Western Cape and an MA in Applied Ethics from the University of Zambia.
